CARE THAT REACHES BEYOND ONE DAY.
The Comfort Drive brought service, compassion and practical support together for neighbors facing homelessness and hardship. ABNB Federal Credit Union hosted donation drives across multiple branches, collecting hundreds of toiletry and hygiene items.
With that support, Vaughn’s Way assembled and distributed more than 150 self-care bags filled with essential items. The combined Comfort Drive and Community Feeding took place in collaboration with The Great Awakening United Church in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Hot meals and self-care bags reached more than 100 people at the event. Another 65 self-care kits were delivered to a local men’s shelter, extending the care beyond the people who could attend.
ABNB Federal Credit Union, Fishing Point Healthcare and the Portsmouth Police Department Community Engagement Team helped make the outreach possible. The day reflected Vaughn’s giving, compassionate and community-focused spirit.
